How to fix different problems facing in google forms : Hello guys! Google form is the best way to collect data quickly & easily but there are lot of things to know about Google form. Not having complete knowledge of Google form, can make huge loss of data, time & you also get frustrated when you don't find it's solution even after searching hard on Google itself.
I have been working on Google forms for a long time & I also find the same doubts, issues but with time I also find their solutions. So, here I am sharing you my own experienced problems & solutions in the form of question & answers.


Question 1. Why while uploading files in the Google form it's showing an error? 

Ans. There may be few reasons according to which type of error you are getting. I am giving you the reasons from my own experience which I found & resolved later.

• Due to the size, you have set for the total response of the data. 

You can change the size by following steps:

1. Click on the three dots on the upper write corner of question page.

2. Choose setting option.

3. See at the end of the small page opened, increase the size according to your choice.
 

 You can also visit to this setting directly from the uploading question. 

• Size of the image you are uploading is larger than what you have set. 

You can change the size by following steps:

1. Click on the particular question.
2. You will see the option image size, increase the size of the image as required.

   

• Inappropriate type of the file your are uploading

Follow these steps:

1. Click on the particular question.
2. You will see the option to allow particular file to be uploaded, change that as required or you can choose multiple options.
      

3.If you are not able to upload more than one file than check the number of files you have allowed to be uploaded in the form.

Question 2. How to break the form into different sections?

Ans.You can break a google form into sections by following steps:

1.Click on the question from where you want to split your Google form into sections.
2. Click on the symbol in the extreme bottom right.

 You can undone this by clicking on the option just on the right corner of the section then select " Merge with above"

Question 3. How can I allow someone to edit my google form? 

Ans. You can allow someone to access your google form with limited privileges:

1. As a Viewer

2. As an Editor

3. Making Owner

So, for this follow the steps:

1. Click on the three dots on the top right corner. 

2. Click on add collaboration

3.Enter the gmail I'd of the person to whome you want to allow to access your google form. 

4. Select the privilege you want to him whether viewing, editing or the ownership of the form. 

Question 4. By mistake I lost my google form responses how can I get them back? 

Ans. If you delete the responses from your drive they are still saved in google form & you can restore them or you can restore them from drive bin also(if available). 

For getting responses back you need to follow the steps as:

1. Go to the response section of the google formi. 

2. Click on the three dots. 

3.Click on select responses destination & create new file or select an existing file from the drive to save responses. 

Question 4. How to get email notifications on each response? 

Ans. Go to the response section then click on the lower three dots & check the option Get email notifications for new responses. ( see above image)
